The best leaders are those who lead by example. In his role as Director, Neil Slatter epitomises the core values Gap Prop; integrity, passion and commitment to a job well done. He leads the development of property assets for the organisation and drives forward all strategic intentions, providing overall guidance related to operations, and each new development which we undertake.
Neil has significant experience in Greenfield and Brownfield acquisitions and developments and is a hands-on professional who ensures that every decision is in the very best interest of the client.
Wesley is a qualified Chartered Accountant specialising in private equity and investment fund management. His boasts an impressive background within the corporate financial sector. He was the founder of LIV Business, a philanthropic investment company and previously spearheaded corporate finance divisions for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape.
One of his prior business leadership roles includes Finance Executive for Louis Vuitton, where he was integral to the establishment of its South African operation. A true numbers guy of high integrity, he keeps all parties at Gap Prop accountable for expenditure and ensures that the ROI for our clients is sound, without compromising on quality.
Neil is your quintessential professional with integrity at the heart of everything that he does. His passion for the industry began in the early 2000s, when he began buying property for the purpose of redevelopment. He has an outstanding track record in development with a portfolio that include Oysters Umhlanga Rocks, Mount Edgecombe Country Club Estate 2, Umdloti Holiday Resort, Jacana Lodge and Balize Private Estate to name a few.
Neil is an astute businessman with strong commercial aptitudes, having founded Millicare in 1996. As our driver of quality, he monitors the performance of each project and pays attention to the finest details, going above and beyond industry standards in the pursuit of excellence.
Marketing and Communications
Leigh-Anne Aitken is an experienced Project Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the Communications & Marketing industries. A proud graduate of The Business School, she is exceptionally skilled in Crisis Communications, Event Management, Media Relations, Corporate Communications, and Management.
She is a focused individual with an impeccable work ethic who brings each development’s marketing strategy to fruition by managing a range of project teams, partners and suppliers to deliver successful marketing touchpoints. Leigh-Anne ensures that all parties keep to critical timelines to get the job done, and deliver on the promises made to our clients.
Our comprehensive suite of services allows us to handle all aspects of the property development process. From sourcing and conceptualisation to overseeing a development until successful project completion, we operate with confidence from the commencement of a project right through to handover.
We perform extensive due diligence to source sites that will yield the highest ROI for our clients. This includes, but is not limited to, sourcing appropriate land for development, site condition evaluation, strategy for purchase consideration, feasibility of Brownfield and Greenfield investments and leveraging environmental, governmental and marketplace data to procure sites for the lowest possible price.
We coordinate all stages of the pre-construction and approval phases by ensuring that all planning, architectural, engineering, quantity surveying, and all other related logistics are developed, refined and in place, so as to commence with construction without a hitch and meet project deadlines on schedule.
We oversee all aspects of the construction process. Our diverse, hands-on team of professionals approach all objectives with purpose, maintaining schedule, keeping to budget, managing resources and ensuring that the highest level of quality control is implemented at each phase of the development.

Highgate Wine Estate
R55-million, 58-hectare wine estate development situated in the KZN Midlands. Includes a 10-bedroom boutique hotel and conference centre, 26 freehold residential homesteads, shops, and soon-to-be planted vineyards and estate winery.
Shoreline Sibaya Coastal Precinct Retirement Estate
A 1.4-hectare retirement estate designed with the needs of the 55+ resident in mind. It includes 223 modern residential units, a community centre, swimming pools, community food garden, meditation garden and more. Under development value of R668 000.
170-hectare, private game reserve located in the Kuleni Park, near Hluhluwe on the Elephant Coast in KwaZulu-Natal.

Project value of R234-million, this brownfield development was built on the site of the old Mill Falls waterworks outside Howick. Infrastructure development included tunnel and storage reservoirs; design and operating detail.
